Dee lake bc fishing report

Location : Dee Lake is located in British Columbia's Okanagan region approximately 21 km. (13 mi.) northeast of the town of Winfield. From the city of Kelowna travel north on Hwy. #97 to Winfield. Turn east off Hwy. #97 onto the Beaver Lake Road. Follow this road past Beaver Lake (Swalwell Lake), and continue a short distance to the Dee Lake chain of lakes. Dee Lake is the most northern lake in this chain of 4 lakes.

Resorts & Campsites: Dee Lake has 1 resort complete with log cabins, campsites, store and boat rentals. A public recreation site and campsite with boat launch can be found at nearby Island Lake.

Fishing Report: Dee Lake is actually a chain of lakes which include Dee, Island, Deer, and Crooked Lakes. Stocked with Rainbow trout, the Dee Lake chain supports good numbers of Rainbow, some of which will occasionally reach 5 lbs. Fly fishing and trolling small lures, flatfish and spinning gear, are all successful methods used on the lake.

Doreen Lake - Doreen Lake is 40 ha. (99 ac.) in size and can be found approximately 1.5 km. (.9 mi.) east of Dee Lake. Lying at an elevation of 1372 m. (4500 ft.), Doreen is a fly only lake that provides a Rainbow fishery for trout up to 5 lbs. A 20 vehicle BCFS campsite with good cartop boat launching is available at the lake.

Hidden Lake - Hidden Lake is a small lake found by taking a secondary road from the north end of Dee Lake. A short hike is required to the lake which provides good catches of small Rainbows.
